The CCAEF awards tuition scholarships to new and enrolled students of the California Culinary Academy.  Awards are made to students who excel academically, display leadership qualities and passionately pursue their culinary arts career, but lack the financial means to enter the Academy or complete their studies without great hardship.  Merit-only based scholarships are also available. Find out more about current scholarhip opportunities below or see a list of past scholarships here.

Since the Foundation’s inception in 1994, greater than $200,000 has been awarded to over a 100 students at the California Culinary Academy.

Scholarship Opportunities:

CCAEF and Asian Chef’s Association Scholarship Contest

Each entrant – a current student of any program offered at the CCA - must develop and submit an Asian cuisine appetizer recipe that may be served at a fund raiser this year for the ACA--along with a supporting essay.

The recipe ingredients should be seasonal, representational, the result easy to eat standing up, appropriate to produce for 300 guests, and of course delicious.  Accompanying the recipe write a 250 word essay about the path your recipe development took—from inspiration to that perfect taste!

Student entrants must have a GPA of 2.0 or better to qualify; all packages must be submitted via email to info@ccaef.org attention scholarship committee, by (2010 date to be announced).

All packages will be reviewed by a team consisting of CCA faculty, CCAEF and ACA board members.

The top 5 will be announced (date to be announced) and they will prepare their entry for a panel of judges November 6th, 2008.  The judging panel will again consist of CCA staff, CCAEF and ACA Board Members, and Celebrity Chef’s and community judges.

The winners of this final evaluation will be scholarship recipients totaling $2,500!
Placing First: $1,500*
Second: $1,000*
